TRUST visited the SCADFASH Museum last weekend. We went to see Ruth E. Carter’s exhibit. Ruth E. Carter is an award winning African American costume designer for film and television. She won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for her work in Black Panther. She is also the first African American to win an Academy Award in that category. Ms. Carter has designed costumes for over 40 films and we were blessed to see some of her most famous work including Malcolm X, Amistad, Selma, and Coming to America II. Additionally, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
